One thing that I am always striving for is super white teeth. I am an avid coffee drinker, so I’m always worried about unsightly teeth stains. I have tried several teeth whitening products in the past, but haven’t been fully satisfied with the results. Whitening toothpaste and white strips from various brands have never produced the results that they promise. That is why I am so excited about Smile Brilliant!
Smile Brilliant is teeth whitening company that specializes in at home, customized teeth whitening trays and products. A typical dentist visit for whitening can cost hundreds of dollars. With Smile Brilliant’s system, you get your own fully customized whitening trays, plus whitening and desensitizing gels so that you can whiten your teeth in the comfort of your home.
Smile Brilliant kindly gifted me their T3 Sensitive System, which is perfect for people with sensitive teeth and light staining. The kit comes with everything that you need to make your impressions and to whiten your teeth.
The first step in the process is to make your dental impressions. They make everything super simple with easy to follow directions. You simply combine the blue base material with the gray catalyst material and then place the mixture into your impression tray. Next, you make your top teeth impressions and wait the required time. You simply repeat the process for your bottom teeth impressions. The great thing is that they send you an extra set of base and catalyst just in case you make a mistake.
Once you are done making your impressions, you should rinse them off with cold water and allow them to harden. Once they have hardened (I waited 24 hours), you’ll fill out a card that they send you with some of your information and then drop the card and both of your impressions into the prepaid envelope to send back to their lab. They will make your custom teeth whitening trays from your impressions and then ship them back to you at no extra cost. I got my custom trays back in less than a week!
Once you have your trays you can begin the whitening process. To whiten, you break the tip off of the whitening gel syringe and then apply a thin string of gel to the front outer surface of the trays. Next, you insert the trays into your mouth and let the gel do its work. They recommend that you only whiten for 45 minutes for your first session, just in case you have sensitivity. You can use the product daily (depending on sensitivity) for 1-3 hours per session. Each syringe comes with enough product for 3-4 uses. Having a small mouth and small to normal-sized teeth, I personally get about four uses out of each syringe.
I only whitened for 45 minutes for my first session, and then two hours for my second session. For my third and fourth sessions, I whitened for three hours. I did experience some sensitivity after my third session, so I made sure to use the desensitizing gel the next time and didn’t have any issues after that. I still have enough whitening gel for eight more sessions, but I wanted to show you all my results after only four sessions:
As you can tell from the before and after picture above, my teeth weren’t terribly stained to begin with. If your teeth are more stained than mine were, or if you’re just not convinced yet, then I encourage you to check out other people’s results on Smile Brilliant’s results page or check out this video.
Overall I couldn’t be happier with my results from using Smile Brilliant’s teeth whitening system. What I love about the system is that it is affordable and it allows you to whiten in the comfort of your home. Smile Brilliant has truly been a game-changer for me. If you’ve been thinking about trying a new teeth whitening system, then I highly recommend trying out Smile Brilliant!
