I am so excited that I finally get to share the top secret news that I have hinted at a couple of times over the past two months! A couple of months ago I was presented with the opportunity to meet and Lauren Conrad and model her May Festival collection. As you all probably know, Lauren typically models her collection herself, but since she is pregnant she decided to have someone else model the collection for her. I feel so incredibly lucky that that someone else was me! Of course I said yes!
I got to spend the entire day with Lauren and her crew, which was such a surreal experience. She is such a genuinely nice person and it was so wonderful meeting her and spending the day with her. She’s also the most adorable pregnant person I’ve ever seen!
It was also fun to get to see the entire process of a photoshoot. I had no idea how much work goes into it. There were seriously forty people there, which was kind of scary, but I got used to it as the day went on. Everyone from the team was incredibly nice and encouraging, especially Lauren and Steve (the photographer).
As you can probably tell in the video, I was so nervous about the video portion of the shoot. I was totally fine with photos, but I felt sooo awkward on camera. They sent me the questions beforehand, so I knew what they were going to ask me, but I was still nervous! I’m very happy with the way everything turned out though.
In addition to meeting Lauren, I also got to meet Kristen Ess. She did my hair for the day, which was so fun. Oh, and you guys, her dog is seriously the cutest!
The team and I got to stay at The Parker Palm Springs, which is an amazing hotel. I was only there for two nights, and I was tired from travelling the first night and exhausted after the twelve hour shoot the next night, so I didn’t get a chance to get pictures which is kind of a bummer. It was such a wonderful experience though!
I tend to love almost everything in Lauren’s collections, and the LC Lauren Conrad May Festival Collection is no exception. The color story, prints, and silhouettes of the collection are very bohemian, feminine, and chic.
What is your favorite piece from Lauren’s new collection?
Until next time,
