If you’ve never heard of Ipsy, it’s a monthly makeup and beauty subscription. It only costs $10 per month and you receive a makeup bag and five products ranging from deluxe samples to full-sized beauty products. When you get started with the subscription, you fill out a questionnaire about what types of products and brands you are interested in. I love Ipsy because you get a lot of great products for a low price and get to learn about and try new brands. They also include discount codes for most of the brands, so if you like a brand you can purchase more of their products and save some money. I received the following items in my September Ipsy bag:
Lip Injection Extreme by Too Faced ($28 for full-sized product)
Too Faced is a brand that is known to have great products, but this one just didn’t work for me.This stuff really is extreme, but not in a good way. I would never ever buy this or recommend that anyone buy this. It burned my lips, was a sticky mess, and didn’t even plump my lips. All pain, and no gain. Their Hangover Rx Primer is one of their products that I swear by. You can get a free deluxe-size melted chocolate lipstick with purchase through 10/31/16 with the code IPSYGWP.
Moisturizing Mask Creme Fraiche de Beaute by NUXE ($25 for full-sized product)
I am absolutely obsessed with this mask creme. It has a soothing, soft floral scent and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. I will absolutely be purchasing a full-sized product in the future! Get 20% off a purchase of $50 or more thorough 10/31/16 with the code SUMMER2016.
Guava Butter by Seraphine Botanicals ($24 value)
I don’t hate this stuff, but I don’t think I will repurchase. It is a great color and you can use it on your lips, cheeks, and eyelids, but I have other products that I like more. You can get 30% off any purchase through 10/31/16 with the code IPSY30.
Exfoliating Cleanser by BeFine Food Skin Care ($24 for full-sized product)
This is another product that I am obsessed with. I love exfoliating cleansers, and this one is one of the best that I’ve ever used. The texture is super gritty (which I love) and it smells like brown sugar. I will also be purchasing the full-sized version of this in the future. You can get 20% off any purchase through 10/31/16 with the code IPSY.
Nail Polish in Champagne Socialite by Trust Fund Beauty ($15 value)
I really like the color of this nail polish and it lasts for several days without chipping. That being said, I’m not one to spend $15 on nail polish (I prefer Essie), so I don’t see myself repurchasing this in the future.
When I peeked at my bag online, I thought I was going to be disappointed with most of these products, but I actually like the majority of them! The total value of the two full-sized products that I received was $39, plus I also received three samples. The bag only costs $10 a month, so I feel like I definitely got my money’s worth.
Do you use Ipsy? What did you get in your bag this month?
