IPSY Glam Bag – October 2016

Ipsy Glam Bag October 2016
If you’ve never heard of Ipsy, it’s a monthly makeup and beauty subscription. It only costs $10 per month and you receive a makeup bag and five products ranging from deluxe samples to full-sized beauty products. When you get started with the subscription, you fill out a questionnaire about what types of products and brands you are interested in. I love Ipsy because you get a lot of great products for a low price and get to learn about and try new brands. They also include discount codes for most of the brands, so if you like a brand you can purchase more of their products and save some money.I received the following in my October 2016 Ipsy bag:

PURE One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil by TATCHA ($48 for full-sized product)
This cleansing oil left my skin feeling soft and clean. I do like this product, but I would never pay $48 for a cleanser so I don’t see myself buying this in the future. You can get 15% off the full-sized PURE One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil with the code ‘IPSY15’.

Fierce Flicks Eyeliner by Ciate London ($19 value)
I am absolutely terrible with liquid eyeliner, so I don’t see myself using or repurchasing this in the future. I did try this eyeliner and it works pretty well. My winged liner skills just aren’t there yet!

Liquid Lipstick in Mysterious Mocha by Cosmoholic ($24.99 for full-sized product)
This liquid lipstick is the best thing I got in my bag this month. The color is a beautiful pinkish brown, but the consistency is a tad bit too sticky for my taste. I also think that the price is way too high, however they are offering buy one get one free with the code ‘ipsybogo’.

Nail Polish in Heavenly by Kokie ($6 value)
I personally don’t like to wear blue nail polish (I prefer pinks and neutrals), so I don’t see myself using this polish much. My roommate used it and she likes it, so I may try a different color. You can get 25% off with the code ‘IPSY25’.

Daily Lip Nourisher by pur~lisse ($16 for full-sized product)
This lip nourisher feels great and leaves my lips soft and nourished, however I don’t see myself repurchasing this product in the future because of the price. I just think that $16 for something that is similar to a chapstick is a bit much. You can get 30% off any purchase with the code ‘ipsylipsy30’.

Overall I was quite disappointed with this month’s Ipsy bag and don’t see myself repurchasing any of the products I received in the future. I think that the bag itself is one of the cutest that Ipsy has released, but the contents just didn’t do it for me this month. I received two full-sized products that are worth $25, as well as three sample-sized products.

Do you use Ipsy? What did you get in your bag this month?
